A space to talk. A place to be heard.
Reaching for support can feel like a big step. Talking to someone outside your situation can make a real difference.

Life throws things at us. Loss. Anxiety. Big decisions. Sometimes it's hard to know where to start or who to talk to. That's where counselling works.
I'm Kevin, I'm a BACP Registered and fully qualified humanistic counsellor with over 30 years' experience working in public services, specialising in developing communities and working with drug and alcohol users, families and offending young people. I currently work with adults and young adults (16+) who are facing a range of challenges in their lives. Maybe you're dealing with grief, struggling with anxiety, or trying to work out who you are. Whatever brings you here, you'll find a space that's calm, compassionate, confidential, and focused completely on you.
Some people need just a few sessions, while others prefer longer-term support. I also offer Single Session Therapy (SST), a more solution focused approach for clients.
Counselling gives you time and space to think out loud, to explore what's going on, and to make sense of feelings that might seem overwhelming or confusing right now.
I'm not here to make judgements on your life. My role is to listen, build greater understanding, and help you find your own way through, though in SST work I'll likely be guiding you through the single session with more practical support. We'll build context, insight and awareness of your issues through building a strong, very open therapeutic relationship that helps you to face your challenges and find your own answers.
We'll challenge and question as we build insight and context. Led by you, we can work on finding answers together that serve your future. We create a space where we can be honest about what's really going on. That's where change starts.

The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change… I'm not perfect, but I'm enough
People come to counselling for all sorts of reasons. Anxiety. Depression. Relationship struggles. Life transitions. Issues around self-esteem or confidence. Questions about identity and character.
I have a particular interest in supporting clients with bereavement. Grief is a personal, individual process and understanding your own experiences, why you're feeling what you're feeling and being reassured during this time can be so important during this time. I also have extensive experience supporting people from LGBTQ+ and other marginalised communities, as well as those dealing with drug and/or alcohol misuse.
Whatever you're carrying, you don't have to carry it alone.
I offer a free 25-minute initial consultation. It's a chance to ask questions, talk about what's bringing you to counselling, and see if we're a good fit. No pressure. No commitment.
